G&L in Holland Celebrates International Firefighters Day Friday, May 04, 2007; Posted 10:46:00 pm  International Firefighters’ Day is a day to remember those firefighters who have given their lives in the line of duty and to honor the personal sacrifices and commitment that our firefighters make each and every day. And it is quite evident that these great men and women were more than happy to share their valuable time and experiences with the public during International Firefighters’ Day events hosted by G&L Chili Dogs.
G&L Chili Dogs of Holland hosted The Holland Charter Township Fire Department on Friday, May 4th, 2007 from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. The Holland Charter Fire Department arrived with and displayed their Fire Rescue Truck 1222 (larger pumper) and the 1242 Aerial (with a ladder that extends 95 feet). The kids were all smiles as the Holland Charter Township Fire Department showed off Sparky the Fire Dog. “This is the second year G&L has celebrated International Firefighters Day at one or more of it’s stores” stated Peter Johnson (Pres. of G&L Franchise) “These men and women risk their lives each and every day for us and I am happy that G&L can help bring the community together to celebrate their dedication and sacrifices.” G&L would like to thank the Holland Charter Township Fire Department for spending a few hours with the many families and friends that came to G&L in Holland to celebrate International Firefighters Day. |
